Empowering every birth, embracing every family.
Sista To Sista Full-Spectrum Doula Services is dedicated to empowering and supporting Neurodivergent birthing families. We recognize the disparities in birth-related and postnatal care faced by these individuals, including lower satisfaction with healthcare and higher rates of postnatal depression and anxiety. Our mission is to provide compassionate, inclusive, and personalized doula services that bridge these gaps, ensuring that every family experiences dignified, respectful, and comprehensive care throughout their birthing journey.
Our purpose is to empower and uplift neurodivergent birthing parents and families by providing holistic, culturally affirming, and trauma-informed doula care that respects each individual's unique sensory, emotional, and cultural needs. Through advocacy, education, and unwavering support, we create safe and nurturing spaces for transformative birthing experiences.
Sista to Sista Full-Spectrum Doula Services officially became established in 2024. However, the heart of this work began long before. Since 1999, I have been supporting birthing parents in my community in Brooklyn, NY—offering compassionate, culturally sensitive care, advocacy, and education. What began as a personal calling has grown into a professional service rooted in love and deep respect for the diverse journeys of each family we serve.

Childbirth is a profound, transformative experience that involves the intricate interplay of the body and mind. In recent years, somatic practices have gained recognition for their ability to promote calm, reduce stress, and improve physiological processes during labor. The term somatic comes from the Greek word soma, meaning “body.” Somatic practices refer to exercises that focus on internal physical perception and the mind-body connection, rather than external performance or appearance.
